Official announcement from TMC Transformers: Intermagnetics acquisition

TMC Transformers S.p.A. is pleased to announce its acquisition of Intermagnetics srl from Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A.

Intermagnetics, which was founded in 2006, designs and manufactures low voltage transformers and reactors for industrial applications, complying with all technical safety, quality, environmental, and customer specifications.

TMC Transformers S.p.A. is a leader in the production of medium and low voltage dry-type transformers for special applications, such as railroad vehicles, offshore, mining, renewable energy, and oil & gas. Its goal is to strengthen its presence in the business of low voltage transformers.

This acquisition is therefore an important strategic investment for TMC to expand its portfolio of special transformers and increase expertise while obtaining significant benefits for the company and its customers.

The acquisition of Intermagnetics follows those of Marnate Transformers, RITZ and the opening of the new Low Voltage TMC plant in Fabro (TR).
